Shivaji joined Gomark in Nov 1999 as leader of the web programming team and was responsible for building e-commerce sites. He introduced several new practices including use of web-safe colours to ensure that sites looked consistent on both Windows PCs and Macs; HTML validation, templates and end-user testing, to ensure that the e-commerce sites were professional and consistent.
